Sandra Jauregui, candidate for Lt Governor

Sandra Jauregui (pronounced Howdy-ghee), candidate for Lt Governor, has been fighting for Nevadans her entire career. During the Great Recession, she worked in Nevada’s Home Again program to help Nevadans stay in their homes. When she was elected to the state legislature, she went to bat for working families—tackling affordable housing, capping the cost of insulin and lowering healthcare costs, creating good-paying jobs, and safeguarding wages and benefits for state employees during the pandemic. A survivor of the 1 October Las Vegas shooting, Sandra turned personal tragedy into action, and worked with law enforcement on common sense gun violence prevention laws that protect Nevadans across the state. Unafraid to stand up to the powerful, Sandra has taken on some of the toughest fights and won, delivering real results for working families. Now, Sandra is running to bring that same bold leadership and proven track record to the Lieutenant Governor’s office. Learn more about Sandra at SandraForNevada.com.

Chrystal Roll, candidate for State Senate District 16

Chrystal Roll, candidate for State Senate District 16, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who maintains a private practice and also works at a community mental health clinic. She provides therapy to children, adults, families, and participants in the mental health court programs in several rural counties in northern Nevada. In addition, she consults with community health providers to support Nevadans with developmental disabilities in living independently and successfully in their communities.

Chrystal is a proud member of the 2025 Emerge Nevada program, part of a national organization dedicated to training Democratic women to run for political office. She earned her graduate degree in social work from the University of Nevada, Reno, and lives in Carson City with her wife—a fifth-generation Nevadan—and their two children.  Learn more about Chrystal at

Sean McDowell, candidate for Washoe County Clerk

Sean McDowell, candidate for Washoe County Clerk, has been a proud Nevadan since 1993, having grown up in Virginia City and worked in Washoe County’s service and manufacturing industries. Sean attended both TMCC and University of Nevada – Reno, earning a Bachelor’s of Arts before receiving a law degree from Ohio Northern University.

Sean has an established career as a civil rights attorney advocating for the employees of Northern Nevada who have been discriminated against in the workplace because of sex, race, and/or disabilities. However, Sean has learned that as an attorney in private practice, he is limited to helping a handful of people at a time and has made the decision to run for Washoe County Clerk to serve the entire community of Washoe County. Sean lives with his wife, Chelsea Joseph, and is excited at the opportunity to serve our community as your Washoe County Clerk and ensure the Clerk’s Office operates with utmost efficiency, transparency, and respect for the community it serves.  Learn more about Sean at
