Join North Tahoe Democrats for discussion with Fred Lokken, Professor of Political Science and our expert on our Nevada political scene to explore the challenges of the 2026 mid-term elections. Washoe County Commissioner, Alexis Hill, will also provide an update on matters of local interest. Snacks and drinks will be provided for in-person attendance at the Incline Village Library Meeting Room, 845 Alder Ave.

Fred Lokken, Professor of Political Science at Truckee Meadows Community College

 

Fred Lokken is a Professor of Political Science at Truckee Meadows Community College in Reno, Nevada, He is recognized as an expert in Nevada politics and regularly participates on public affairs programs, interviews with local, state, national and international media outlets, and speaks to various community organizations and groups.  In addition, Fred serves as the Executive Commissioner of Nevada  WICHE (Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education) and represents the State of Nevada on the Regional WICHE Executive committee.  Fred is also recognized nationally as an expert on Distance Learning/Online Learning as well as Emergent Educational Technologies (Artificial Intelligence, VR/AR, etc).
